Hi, I’m Peyton. My owner got sick and had to give me up. I’m about 5 years old and a tall boy. I weigh about 95lbs. The Dr. says that my weight is actually good for me. I like pretty much all humans, but I am a little selective about other doggie boys, however, I’m cool. I am a gentle soul who enjoys being petted and combed. I never create a fuss, whether its cleaning my ears, giving me a bath or timing my nails. I love to be petted. I am very quiet and only bark when someone is in the yard. I don’t mind thunder and lightning. I sleep right through storms. I also don’t really mind fireworks and eventually fall asleep once they calm down a little. I love going for rides in the car — especially if you take me to a dog friendly restaurant where I can get a hotdog or a piece of chicken. While you enjoy your meal, I will generally lie down and if they provide a bowl of water for me, I will happily drink from it. I like to go on walks and my leash manners are very good. I don’t pull and with a gentle nudge, I’ll go anywhere you want to take me. I am very patient in the morning and will wait very quietly until you get up to take me for a walk or out in the backyard to “do my business.” I am very easy going and a little shy, but as I get more used to my surroundings I am sure the true “me” will continue to come out. I am pure Pyr, but I actually wag my tail to let you know I am happy to see you!
