We hear all the time how our great members want to help FGPR save the lives of our beautiful dogs. Did you know that sometimes we have to turn dogs away from coming into rescue because we don’t have a place for them to go? Or that we have to keep dogs boarded in kennels for long stretches just to get them to a safe place? Fostering Pyrs is, quite honestly, literally saving a dog’s life. A foster parent is crucial to the future of our dogs. The foster evaluates the dog’s behavior- does he/she like other dogs? Cats? Thunderstorms? Do they have separation anxiety? Food aggression? Gulfport’s Get Rescued
By Lori Fricker After a long and exhausting day, the results are in! Success!! On many fronts. We didn’t sell too much at our booth, but had loads of donations! I discovered that it’s better to be over prepared and always pack the sides of the tent…just in case…and needed them several times for rain spurts. And most of all, always go big with silent auction stuff. Our table was the only one who sold everything and we raised over $1100!! More will be coming after the event coordinator tallies the take from the event. All in all a profitable day.
